River to the Heart

by Rosana Delon

My students and I got acquainted with Eddy L. Harris, an American writer and film maker, during his conference at the UIAD in November 2022.

He came to two of our classes to talk about his views on the United States and his travels along the Mississippi (book: Mississippi Solo). He also talked about his documentary River to the Heart which was awarded 'Best Documentary' in the Ozark Foothills FilmFest

This friendship has inspired my students to create a fundraising event to help him finance this film.

Come and join us in this effort on 5th April at the Centre Culturel in Saint-Martin-d'Uriage.

All proceeds from this event will help Eddy pay for the documentary.

The Lost King

In 2012, beneath a car park in Leicester, England, archeologists discovered a skeleton.

After DNA testing, the skeleton was confirmed to be that of King Richard III, the Plantagenet king killed at the battle of Bosworth in 1485.

Come along on 5th April to see the film that was made about the discovery. See the link in the flyer below to get your tickets, or ask your English teacher!
