Did you come to the party?

Despite the weather threatening to be very British, the Garden Party was a great success!

We wore our beautiful hats, we played fun games, we ate delicious food and...we listened to and sang along with the UIAD singing group  Anglais en chantant!

If you appear on one of the photos and do not want the photo to be displayed on the blog, please email us and we will remove it.

And don't forget to click on Students' Corner (the link is just underneath the title of the blog above). There you can read a report of the Garden Party by a student and watch a video of the UIAD singing group in action!

The song takes its name from a local street, Lambeth Walk, once known for its street market and its working-class culture, in the Lambeth area of London:

Here we go round the Mulberry Bush is a well-known children's nursery rhyme:

The Yellow Rose of Texas is a traditional American folk song, dating back to at least 1850:

And finally, we also sang One-Way Ticket, by Neil Sedaka:

Happy Singing!
